Proton REEV ?
Many may wonder what is REEV, actually it is the short form of the Range Extender Electric Vehicle. Differ from the normal Electric Vehicle (EV), which its just pack with electric engine and lots of battery, REEV also pack with a small combustion engine to aid in recharging the battery of the EV when the EV is running out of battery.
For futher explanation, all EV use battery to replace fuels like petroleum or diesel, but normal EV have a very short range in distance ( depend on what type of battery it use). But REEV can cover a longer distance because REEV have a small combustion engine act as a generator to recharge the battery.
Proton recently has just won the race using REEV ( based on Exora) in England, its a simple race, competitors who use the less fuel during the race is the winner. According to the MD of the Proton, the REEV will be in mass production in 2011 based on Exora.

New Myvi next year?
Yes, the managing director of Perodua say that the new Myvi replacement will out around April next year. After five year in production and a facelift in the middle, its the proper lifetime of a car. The new Myvi will based on the Toyota Passo/ Dahaitsu Boon in Japan. Some source say that the new Myvi will have bigger engine, the 1.5 liter engine that can be found in Perodua Alza. Here are some of the picture of Toyota Passo or the future Myvi may look like.

which is better?
Just wan to do a simple poll here. I'm now split into between the choices that i have to make and i don't know what to choose, so i decide to let you all choose for me by doing a simple poll here. This poll s about which car is better? The Perodua Myvi 1.3 or Hyundai i10?
Perodua Myvi 1.3 auto transmission( hi spec) spec: safety features like ABS, dual srs airbag, 1.3 liter engine.
Hyundai i10 auto transmission (hi spec)spec: same like the Myvi, which have ABS, Dual srs airbag, just with a smaller engine.
The Perodua Myvi cost about 49000 ringgit and the i10 is about the same price. I like the i 10 because its better looking( at least newer than the Myvi which i have been watch for years now) and its Hyundai (which mean the quality is better). But the Myvi is more practical with larger interior space but the power from the 1.3 liter engine seem to be a little bit less.
So, please choose for me by simply post on comment (simply write Myvi or i10). Any suggestion of other model is welcome^^. Thank you.

Inspira vs Lancer GT
Technically, both are the same car, same engine, same platform, and even same design ( only some minor change in bumper and rims). The only different is the Inspira is assemble by Proton in Shah Alam and tuning of the suspension is done by Lotus Famous ride and handling.
But one thing I didn't understand is why the Proton Inspira is cost more then a Lancer GT(if not include the tax). If you live in Langkawi Island, you may notice that the Lancer GT is just cost RM 72,000, but the Inspira (2.0 liter) price tag is start from RM 84,000. The Proton Inspira is assemble in here, Malaysia. But it cost more than a Lancer GT which is completely import from Japan. Proton Inspira contain 26% of local parts in it and is still cost more than a Lancer GT.
May be the Proton think that they can sell the car with a lower price than the Lancer GT in Malaysia except in Langkawi and Labuan Island. But they may already forget the other competitors from Korea. Yes, it's the Kia Forte 2.0 sx which have the same price tag (almost, with a different of a thousand ringgit only) with the Inspira. Both have the same spec, same engine displacement.
For me, I rather choose the Forte because of two reason. First, is the design of the Forte which is quite a good looking car, not that i don't like the design of the Inspira (or Lancer). the front of the Inspira is quite good, actually, but the rear, is kinda weird. Second is the quality, I'm rather believe the build quality of the Korean is better, while the Proton is still try to catching up.

finally, the waja replacement is out............
After ten years the Proton Waja being roll out, the replacement model of the Waja is out. Set to be launch at 10 of November, the replacement model, which is call the Inspira is a re-badged model of the Mitsubishi Lancer GT. Available in three variant-1.8 liter with five speed manual transmission, 1.8 liter with INVECS-III six speed continuously variable transmission (CVT) or a 2.0 liter with CVT.
Good for Proton because finally it awake the capability of making a proper car, what i mean is the previous Proton have a bad history of making poor quality, weird looking car, but then, Proton realize that it can't afford to develop a whole new car. It not a bad thing because developing a new isn't cheap, it may cause billion of ringgit. And re-badging a car, however, is lot more cheaper and the quality of the car is much more higher.
But the price range of the Inspira is quite high, which cost RM 79,888-95,000. with this price range, it will be a direct compete with the Kia Forte (2.0 liter model) which cost almost the same (RM 91,000). Whether the Inspira will be a good buy? it depend on the consumer mind set about the Proton. If the consumer mind set still stay at the era that car made by the Proton is equal to rubbish, then it will be a bad sale record for the Inspira.
In my opinion, the quality of the Inspira will not be bad as it is the rebadge of the Lancer GT. Everything, from it's chassis to the engine, is from the Mitsubishi Technology, Japanese car maker have is famous of it's quality built.

@lmost become a dancer..........
For a people that doesn't have a sense of beat or tempo like me, dancing is the most difficult things to me. But unfortunately, i have been chosen to join the dance club in my university. Dance club is not my first choice when i choosing the co-curriculum club, simply because my stiff movement when i dance, like a robot. So, the most suitable dance for me is just locking ( i don't know whether is call it right). At first, i just simply dance during the co-curriculum activity to just entertain my friends ( or lecturers, hehe ).
But after i dance for the few month later, i found that dancing is not so difficult to me. Yes, i'm still dance like a robot, and yes i'm still can't follow the beat. But i didn't care because i realize that all i need to do when dancing is just enjoy it. When we enjoy doing something, naturally, your dance movement will become smoother and follow the beat.
The moment that i enjoy the most is the malam anjung budi where i perform with my teammate. although our dance may not be the best, but we gave the best we can do. So, to all the 'robotic' friends out there, if you want to dance, or being force to dance, all you need to do is just enjoy it.
* image will be upload later, haha....
